Description

"Waltz for Toots" was commissioned by the Norrbotten Big Band as a feature for the great Toots Thielemanns. I've since adapted it to feature soprano sax (reed 1) or guitar and you can open it up to feature bass before the soprano or guitar solo as well. It's an even-eighth waltz. With the printed music you will also receive an MP3 download of the entire piece recorded by my band that features Tony Scherr on bass and Mark Vinci on alto. I've included a video of me giving a few rehearsal tips for this particular piece for any directors seeking ideas.
