Recorded on Coming About, "Bombshelter Beast" is the first movement of "Scenes from Childhood" that was commissioned by the Monterey Jazz Festival. It's a powerful and aggressive piece that features a boisterous baritone solo and prominent electric guitar. I included theremin on this piece, as I wanted the sound of an air-raid siren. Scott used to perform this piece on bari while moving his body to activate his theremin. "Bombshelter Beast" is also different than most of my music in that it was recorded with electric bass. With this purchase you'll receive a streamed video of me talking about this composition, and I included a video we shot out at Scott Robinson's crazy and wondrous "laboratory."
